I am Vincent Hardy. I live in San Diego, California. I have lived for 20 years. This started out as a kind of journal and was created in an effort to express myself in a more complex way. Friends, music, reading, film, dogs, exercise, snowboarding, surfing, longboarding, and many more things make me smile/happy.

What I love to do has changed. It feels strange to say it, but I used to constantly need to be entertained. I needed to be surrounded by others to feel like my time was being spent well. But over a few years time my hobbies, interests, and goals have all changed. Tonight I looked forward to my mom going to her concert so that I would have the condo all to myself. Peace and quiet would be mine to relish in as I planned to read for the rest of the night, instead of turning on the television (like my past self would have). After reading for a couple of hours I stretched and am still basking in the friendly scent that there is not a soul around except for the cats. It is so peaceful and quiet and I cannot help but realize in the silence that makes it so easy to hear my own thoughts that I have changed immensely.
